Not peace, but geopolitical competition has come to Armenia, which could ultimately lead to a war of everyone against everyone. This was stated by political analyst Stepan Danielyan.
According to him, the implementation of the TRIPP project essentially means that the United States has entered Armenia, and this presence is primarily directed against Iran. In the Middle East and the South Caucasus, the U.S. represents the interests of Israel, because Washington itself has no direct interests in the region, Danielyan believes.
“Before the tragic events in Artsakh, in September 2023, a meeting took place in Jerusalem with the ambassadors of the U.S., Azerbaijan, and Israel. The meeting was quite transparent, and it was said that peace had finally come to the region, marking a new chapter in its history. The Azerbaijani ambassador thanked his American colleague for the U.S. position, and after a certain time, Azerbaijan began ethnic cleansing in Artsakh,” emphasized the political analyst.
Danielyan is confident that Azerbaijan was given the “green light” to carry out further actions during that meeting.
“Recently, a meeting in a similar format took place again in Jerusalem. This time, they discussed the road through Syunik and its economic and geopolitical implications. In other words, as we understand it, a certain process is underway, which is being served by the person representing Armenia (Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan). And he is doing this to save his own skin and that of his close associates, while retaining power,” Danielyan is convinced.
