Developments around Iran: tactical shift and internal pressure

Information about ongoing developments around Iran remains limited, making it difficult to provide clear assessments. This was stated by regional expert Armen Petrosyan.
According to him, the analysis is further complicated by the fact that one of the key fronts of the conflict is information and propaganda warfare.

“Information is scarce, and under such conditions, it is difficult to draw precise conclusions about what is happening inside Iran,” he noted.

A new tactic: shifting focus inward

According to the expert, a tactical shift is taking place in the confrontation with Iran.

He believes that the United States and Israel are adopting a new approach. It involves reducing direct military activity and placing greater emphasis on Iran’s internal dynamics.

“This includes attempts to stimulate internal protest movements, which could become a new tool of pressure,” Petrosyan said.

At the same time, Iran is responding with countermeasures, seeking to control internal developments and prevent such scenarios.

System stability without signs of collapse

Petrosyan notes that Iran’s state governance system continues to function without major disruptions.

“Despite the importance of individual figures, the system and constitutional order remain primary. We do not see a collapse of governance,” he emphasized.

However, according to various sources, the internal distribution of power may have undergone certain changes.

The expert suggests that, especially under conflict conditions, a key role may shift to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which can significantly influence strategic decisions.

Rising internal pressure

The expert also points out that Iran is actively working to suppress internal unrest.

“In recent days, there have been reports of hundreds of arrests linked to suspected cooperation with foreign intelligence services. There are also reports of strict measures against protest participants,” he said.

According to him, these actions aim to prevent internal developments that could be exploited by external actors to push for political change.

Petrosyan concludes that Iran is preparing for a new phase of the conflict, focusing on both external and internal challenges.

He believes the key factor will be how effectively Iran can contain internal tensions while countering external pressure.
