The opposition Armenia faction has handed over all 28 signatures of its MPs to the With Honor faction, thereby officially joining the initiative to impeach Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The announcement was made by Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a member of the Armenia faction and representative of the ARF Supreme Body.
“Our colleagues from the With Honor faction have taken responsibility for launching the impeachment process. From the very beginning, we expressed our support, and now we have handed over all the signatures, confirming Armenia’s participation in this initiative. The next step is to focus our efforts on persuading pro-government MPs to provide the missing signatures and launch the procedure,” Saghatelyan said during parliamentary hearings on the draft statement “On the National Crisis and Governance Failure.”
He recalled that the Armenia faction had declared its readiness to support the procedure three months ago.
“Given the current situation and the assurances of our colleagues, we have transferred all 28 signatures of our MPs to the With Honor faction so that they can be attached to the process. We expect the missing signatures to be collected in the near future and the initiative to move into a practical phase. There are legal grounds for this — the signatures of two opposition factions on the relevant document,” he added.
