Azerbaijan has launched a new campaign against Armenia, showing that its expansionist doctrine remains in force. This opinion was expressed by Azerbaijan expert Tatevik Hayrapetyan.
“Azerbaijan’s traces on the streets of Yerevan: here’s how Armenians falsified history — the facts revealed.” Under this title, Azerbaijan’s state television channel AZ TV released a video. This happened right after Aliyev’s latest “peaceful” speech. In other words, an instruction was given to launch a new campaign, demonstrating that the expansionist concept against Armenia is still active,” the expert noted.
According to her, the country that unleashed a war against Artsakh, carried out ethnic cleansing of Artsakh’s Armenians, launched aggression against Armenia, and occupied parts of the Republic of Armenia, is now openly displaying its intentions.
“On the one hand, this is shocking, but on the other — understandable: the Armenian authorities are absolving the Azerbaijani side of all war crimes, normalizing its expansionist claims through artificial parallels. The head of state publicly declares that peace has arrived and that ‘fantastic’ reforms are being carried out in the army. Against this background, it’s no surprise that the expansionist concept is gaining new momentum in Azerbaijan,” she said.

This view is shared by Iran specialist Vardan Voskanian:
“The Bakuvian dictator’s rambling about the infamous name ‘Gokcha’ for Lake Sevan, which caused much public discussion here, in my opinion distracted attention from a more important point. The fact is that in his latest speech, the head of Baku’s barbaric regime was not merely sharing ‘thoughts’ with the audience, but directly instructing Azerbaijan’s artificial state institutions, public organizations, and so-called scholars to carry out activities aimed at ‘returning Azerbaijanis to their historical lands — present-day Armenia.’”
According to the expert, this is direct evidence that Baku continues and will continue its hybrid war against Armenia, because its true goal is not peace but the complete weakening and dismantling of the Armenian state as a political entity.
