Հայաստանի գործող ռեժիմը փորձում է ոչնչացնել հայ առաքելական եկեղեցին:

If the authorities are reproduced, the responsibility will lie with the opposition

The elections scheduled for June will be decisive, as they concern not only a change of power but the fundamental issue of restoring constitutional order. This view was expressed by political analyst Stepan Danielyan.

Politics as meaning-making and future design

According to Danielyan, if the restoration of constitutional order is proclaimed as the main objective, it must first be clear what political forces advocating this goal actually propose.

He stresses that politics is not merely about criticizing those in power.

Politics, he argues, is about creating meaning, designing visions of the future, and offering ways to respond to challenges. Yet today’s opposition, he notes, largely confines itself to protest rhetoric and daily explanations of how bad the current authorities are.

Every day, the authorities are criticized, but society does not receive a clear answer to the question of what should be done next.

The opposition’s responsibility in case of power reproduction

Danielyan is convinced that if the current authorities are reproduced in June, the primary responsibility will fall on the protest-oriented opposition forces.

In his view, the ruling authorities objectively have little chance of being reproduced, as a significant segment of society considers them hostile to the state. However, that segment may simply stay at home if it does not see clear proposals or convincing answers to the country’s challenges.

He notes that the authorities operate with a simple yet contradictory narrative: peace at any cost, concessions and humiliation, coupled with promises of the absence of war and the preservation of children’s lives.

“What does the opposition offer in response? Can it act in a united manner? Can it answer these fundamental questions?” Danielyan asks.

According to him, he does not see such answers at present.
