Trump Still Has No Decision on Whether to Start a War Against Iran

American unofficial sources claim that the Pentagon will be ready by the end of this week for possible military operations against Iran. On the other hand, Iran, in line with Foreign Minister Araghchi’s previous statement, is also prepared for both military and diplomatic solutions.

According to Iran expert Vardan Voskanyan, on the ground, both sides are conducting significant military maneuvers. The US is increasing its military presence in the region, while Iran—for the first time in history—partially closed the Strait of Hormuz during exercises, immediately followed by another joint Russian-Iranian naval exercise, he notes.

“From both sides, all this is ‘strangely’ accompanied by extremely loud noise, which indicates that both Tehran and Washington want their adversary and regional powers to see their capabilities, because, figuratively speaking, negotiations are useful, but they can become even more useful if the negotiator has a pistol in his pocket and the barrel of that pistol is visible to the other side,” the expert said.

In his assessment, judging by the statements of Vice President Vance, the White House spokesperson, and Iran’s Foreign Minister Araghchi, diplomatic contacts of a negotiating nature will continue at least in the coming weeks. “Does this mean that war won’t start tomorrow? No one knows. At this point, I think even US President Trump doesn’t know, as he obviously still has no such decision,” he emphasized.
